Freeway aggression

PERTH, Australia — Here’s a question I need a little help with: Say you’re driving down the road in your car or truck or SUV. Say you glance down at your fuel indicator and notice that you have less than a quarter of a tank left. Say you decide to pull in to a gas station to fill up. Say it’s a busy time and there are a lot of people waiting to use the pump.

What do you do when you’re finished pumping? Pull up so that the guy behind you can hit the pump while you pay? Is that the right thing to do? Or are you supposed to make the guy behind you wait while you peruse for a magazine in the Quick-mart? It’s a tough question.

For those of you who are wondering, I wasn’t asking for myself. I drive a super hydrogen monoxide powered car that doesn’t need gas. What I mean of course is that my mom fills up for me. No, really. I’m asking because I was the guy who had to wait. I want to know if I am justified if I throw bricks into his back window. Am I?
