Sheena Jeffers

A much needed bright spot in the dungeon that is the Commonwealth Times office, Sheena has carried the news section on her back for many months. It’s not that the section isn’t capable. Sheena just pumps out the stories like there’s no tomorrow. She’s a heavy weight on par with Bonnie Hobbs of the Centreville Times.

For those that don’t know, Hobbs is (or used to be) the main reporter for the Times. Hobbs write so much that this writer had the impression she was the only reporter on staff. Sheena is the same way. Both are prolific.

But soon she’s leaving and my only contact with her will be from the outside — from Dangling Earrings at the Workplace. The space isn’t too developed, but she’s been writing since the summer 2006. Hopefully she’ll find more time to write for herself. I look forward to that day.
